Kateryna is a Ukrainian wine educator who has played a pivotal role in nurturing wine enthusiasts and professionals, now based in the UK. She is a founder and Nominated Educator at the Ukrainian Wine & Spirit School, an approved program provider for the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET), reflecting her commitment to elevating wine education. The school has more than 400 alums from 15 countries since 2014. Furthermore, Kateryna is a seasoned wine judge, having lent her discerning palate and expertise to international wine competitions such as the International Wine Challenge, Berliner Wein Trophy, AWC Vienna, Frankfurt International Trophy, Vinhos de Portugal, Ukrainian Wine & Spirit Awards, and the Balkans International Wine Competition. Her contributions to these competitions have helped in recognising outstanding wines on a global scale. Kateryna is also a certified Sherry Educator, showcasing her deep appreciation for this unique wine style. Her enthusiasm for Sherry extends beyond education as she shares the delight of Sherry wines with others. With a continuous thirst for knowledge and thanks to the Gerard Basse Foundation, Kateryna Yushchenko’s journey in wine includes pursuing the DipWSET qualification from the WSET School in London and accomplishments such as achieving the WSET Spirits Level 3
